The Supervisory Management courses provided Latacia the opportunity to network and learn from others. "Every leader has the ability to learn something new from someone else and the small group setup allowed us to share company best practices. It's great to learn from people outside our organization, because we don't need to reinvent the wheel. Taking things I've learned from others has been invaluable as we apply those tactics within our organization."
Latacia supervises seven staff members, and appreciated the classes focusing on employee evaluation and performance management. She notes that she was able to take the tools, tips and ideas back to work and apply them.
The Result? Latacia has seen her staff become much more responsible for their own growth and development. "My staff are more engaged in their work, they are empowered to try new things, and our office has certainly seen increased work productivity."
Through the Supervisory Management Certificate Program, Latacia noticed that she's become much more confident in her abilities as a leader. She notes her communication with staff has improved and her staff are more willing to come to her with questions or concerns. Because of this, she's built a strong connection with her team and other leaders at WESTconsin Credit Union.
