Virtual Convocation celebrates May 2021 BSN graduates

We are excited to celebrate the College of Nursing and Health Sciences Class of 2021 with a virtual convocation. The convocation ceremony is an opportunity to honor and recognize the students who successfully completed a rigorous academic program in the midst of a global health crisis. They are amazing individuals who will change outlooks and outcomes for their patients and communities. As part of Convocation, individual slides and video clips of graduates receiving their UW-Eau Claire nursing pin is included as well as remarks by Dean Linda Young and class speaker, Michael Schmidt. Congratulations, graduates!

One hundred students from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences are among graduates who have completed their degrees amid a pandemic.

The number of CONHS graduates this semester include:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Eau Claire Site - 40
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Marshfield Site - 17
Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Completion Program (BSN) - 23
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) - 20

Many UW-Eau Claire undergraduate nursing students have jobs waiting for them upon graduation, even during these unusual times. In many locations, there is a nursing shortage and our nursing students are high demand to fill those openings. Well over 90 percent will pass the mandatory National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX). This high pass rate is a reflection of the strong academic and clinical programs that the College of Nursing and Health Sciences offers students.
