Research team presents at statewide symposium

A research team from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences is presenting at the 16th Annual UW System Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity scheduled for Friday, April 21, 2017. UW Stevens Point is hosting the Symposium this year. Over 100 poster presentations developed by students and faculty from across the UW System will be on display. The Symposium also includes oral presentations, performing arts and visual arts.

Members of the UW-Eau Claire research team include nursing students, Thomas Hunt, Gerald Gerrits, Morgan Land, and Aurora Thorne and faculty members, Associate Professors Dr. Der-Fa Lu and Dr. Norah Airth-Kindree. Their research and presentation, “Slowing the Progression of Joint Pain Alternative Therapy: an Evidence-Based Practice Based Study” was funded by UW-Eau Claire Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Student-Faculty Research Collaboration grant program.

The team will also present at the Provost's Symposium on May 5, 2017.
