Nancy Fugate Woods to speak at commencement

University of Washington ScTranscript of Charge to the Class by Dr. Nancy Fugate Woodshool of Nursing, Dean Emerita Nancy Fugate Woods, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N, and graduate of the UW-Eau Claire BSN ('68) program, will deliver the "Charge to the Class" address at commencement, Saturday, May 19th. The UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association will also present awards to outstanding alumni during a ceremony and luncheon in conjunction with commencement. Nursing alumna Nancy Fugate Woods and Jane Webert Moore (BSN, '73) will receive honors.

Candidates from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences will receive their degrees during a 2 p.m. ceremony at Zorn Arena. A total of 112 will be graduating:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – 86

·        Eau Claire Site - 52

·        Marshfield Site - 13

·        BSN-Completion Program– 21

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) – 26

The Nursing Convocation Ceremony will also be held on Saturday prior to commencement at 11:30am. During the ceremony, graduates will be individually recognized and receive their nursing pin as they walked across the stage.

This is a wonderful time for graduates to celebrate with those in their college. Family and friends are encouraged to attend this special event.
