We celebrate the achievements of the Class of Spring 2020. We are proud you are joining the ranks of Blugold graduates. Best wishes on your future careers!
Ninety-two students from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences are among the 1,433 graduates who have completed their degrees amid a pandemic. Spring commencement has been postponed until Friday, October 2 and plans are being made to for spring nursing graduates to participate in the Convocation in December. Convocation is the College of Nursing and Health Sciences ceremony at which graduates from the baccalaureate nursing program receive their nursing pin as they walk across the stage in Schofield Hall with family and friends in the audience.
The number of CONHS graduates this semester include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Eau Claire Site - 44
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Marshfield Site - 17
Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Completion Program (BSN) - 15
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) - 16
Many UW-Eau Claire undergraduate nursing students have jobs waiting for them upon graduation, even during these unusual times. In many locations, there is a nursing shortage and our nursing students are high demand to fill those openings. Well over 90 percent will pass the mandatory National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX). This high pass rate is a reflection of the strong academic and clinical programs that the College of Nursing and Health Sciences offers students.
