India is a land of great opportunity. With more than 1.3 billion people, India is ranked second in the world in terms of population. Not only does it have one of the world’s largest economy, but India is also one of the world’s fast growing one. No wonder companies like 3M, Cargill, Greenheck, and Harley-Davidson are doing business there.

Learn more about this fascinating country by participating in the College of Business Winterim faculty-led immersion trip to India, January 2-26, 2018.

You will explore the cities of New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. You will learn about the history, culture, politics, religion and economy of this country from professors at Shri Ram College of Commerce, India’s most renown business school. You will also spend four days in Mumbai touring businesses. Mumbai, which is also known as Bombay, is the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India.

Estimated cost: Approximately $4,327 for this 3-credit, faculty-led experience. Each participant will receive $1,500 in financial support from the Blugold Commitment Faculty-Led International Immersion Experiences (FLIIE) program. View detail

Other information: The common language for communication in India is English. Participants will receive 15 hours of service-learning. The experience will satisfy 3-credits of LE, GEIII, and Foreign Culture requirements. Students majoring in international business can use this class as their international experience by completing some additional work.
