Sales Team successful at Toledo Sales Competition

On February 25-27, UW-Eau Claire Sales Team members competed in the Invitational Sales Competition (UTISC) hosted virtually by the University of Toledo.

Mattias Allen, a junior marketing major with a professional sales emphasis from Cottage Grove, WI, placed 8th overall in the Sophomore/Freshman Division.

Patrick Smith, a junior finance and marketing double major from Glendale, WI, participated in the Junior Division.

Ethan Van De Hey, a junior marketing major and international business minor from Kaukauna, WI, competed in the Junior Division and won the 3M Social Media Competition. Van De Hey also earned the Most Artistic Video award.

Each of the 33 university teams was comprised of one junior and one sophomore/freshman so they could be matched up against other students with a similar level of experience. Seniors were not allowed to compete in the competition. 3M was the product sponsor UTISC event.

Dr. Lenita Davis and Jessica Gardner are the Sales Team faculty coaches.

Way to go, Blugolds!

About the UW-Eau Claire Sales Team

The UW-Eau Claire Sales Team represents the university at collegiate sales competitions around the United States where they compete for prizes and meet prospective employers. Team members work hard and have fun. They meet weekly for individualized coaching that develops their sales and communication skills and enhances their self-confidence. The extra hours of practice pays off—100% of all team members who report have a job prior to graduation.

The team is supported by the Department of Management and Marketing, gifts from friends and corporate sponsors, and a grant from UW-Eau Claire Blugold Commitment funds.

Any UW-Eau Claire marketing major or minor may be part of the sales team. The team is selected in the spring semester for the following academic year.
