Bringing Students & Community Together through Engaging Experiences

| Gretchen Hutterli

Each year, hundreds of UW-Eau Claire College of Business students further their education by working with local and national businesses. Experiential learning opportunities, like in-class consulting projects, internship and service learning, give them real world experience. But they aren't they only ones who benefit from these opportunities. Businesses and organizations can gain fresh ideas and unique perspectives from working with our students.

Join management professors Kristy Lauver, Ph.D., Scott Lester, Ph.D., and Abe Nahm, Ph.D., at a free, interactive workshop to learn best practices for collaborating with the business school to create meaningful community partnerships. Topics to be discussed include the roles and responsibilities of the instructor, the students and the community partners.

This workshop is free and open to the public. Coffee and refreshments will be served. Parking is available. Register here by Nov. 13.

For more information, contact Dr. Scott Lester, UW-Eau Claire Department of Management & Marketing.

This workshop is part of the Management Workshop Series hosted by the UW-Eau Claire College of Business, Department of Management and Marketing. Special thanks to PESI, Inc., for sponsoring this event.

Continue the discussion. This workshop is the first in a series of three management workshops that will focus on the theme of engagement. Future workshops will be Engaging Leaders, Employees and Teams, on Tue., Feb. 27; and How We Engage Employees in our Organization, on Wed., Apr. 25.
