future administrator AND featured actress

With a class schedule that contains accounting and management classes, Audra Boettge, a UW-Eau Claire sophomore business administration major, spends a majority of her time on campus furthering her education inside the doors of Schneider Hall. Recently though, Audra has expanded her presence on campus across the river in the Haas Fine Arts Center, landing a role in the university's upcoming production of "Cabaret."

With a passion for performing and an absence from the stage since high school, Audra was eager to audition for the musical. Following auditions and callbacks, it was announced that Audra was cast as the lead female role in the show. Mixed emotions floated through her mind, as she was about to begin the journey of playing a lead in a musical production for the very first time. With an intensive four-week rehearsal process to put the entire show together, Audra says that the experience has been extremely fast paced and has forced her to be on top of her game at all times.

The process has required her to find ways to learn, know and perform her role in a way that is efficient and successful. With an exhausting and active rehearsal schedule, Audra has built her time-management skills by learning to prioritize her time to master an entire show while also staying on top of her academics. Audra is grateful for this opportunity. The musical has not only allowed her to do something she loves, but also be a part of a supportive community that is bigger than herself. From the elaborate hand-beaded flapper dresses to the great music and choreography, Audra says this is a show that everyone should see. As a future administrator AND featured actress, Audra Boettge is following her passion for performing while studying business … and that's pretty powerful!
