Nicole Flint, Sydney Kratochwill, and Lizzy Wolterman were the three top finalists at the 19th Annual Blugold Sales Challenge which was held virtually on September 18. The 2020 competition was supported by a gift from Uline.
The Blugold Sales Challenge is designed to expose UW-Eau Claire students to a sales competition and give them professional feedback on their selling skills. Rank in the competition determines student participation in the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up and other sales competitions held virtually around the country during the fall 2020 semester.
Kratochwill and team members, Catie Behr and Jenna Baker, will represent the Blugolds at the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up, October 21-23. Attending as an alternate is Tyler Tupy and John Rechner as a peer coach. Hormel is the platinum sponsor for the event.
Flint, Tupy, Samantha Wojnowiak, Rachel Stegge, Joseph Haggard, and Garrett Plinck will participate in the virtual International Collegiate Sales Competition (ISCS) hosted by Florida State University from Nov. 11-14. Flint and Wojnowiak will represent UW-Eau Claire in the role-play competition. Stegge and Haggard will compete in the speed selling competition, while Tupy and Plinck will participate in the sales management case simulation.

About the UW-Eau Claire Sales Team
The UW-Eau Claire Sales Team represents the university at collegiate sales competitions around the United States where they compete for prizes and meet prospective employers. Team members work hard and have fun. They meet weekly for individualized coaching that develops their sales and communication skills and enhances their self-confidence. The extra hours of practice pays off—100% of all team members who report have a job prior to graduation.
The team is supported by the Department of Management and Marketing, gifts from friends and corporate sponsors, and a grant from UW-Eau Claire Blugold Commitment funds.
Any UW-Eau Claire marketing major or minor may be part of the sales team. The team is selected in the spring semester for the following academic year.
