"India is such an amazing place with amazing people," said Dr. Dawna Drum, assistant professor in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Department of Accounting and Finance. "I can't wait to go back."
Drum and Ann Rupnow, the business college's entrepreneurship and economic development coordinator, will take 15 college students on a study abroad trip to India, January 2-16, 2015. During the Winterim experience, students will attend lectures by professors from Shri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi University on topics related to business, economy, politics, society, religion, history and culture. They will also visit cottage industries, businesses, and cultural sites in New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur.
This is the second time Drum has led this trip.
"I think what impressed me most is not our differences, but our similarities," said Drum. "The real value of a study abroad trip may be the realization that the world should not be "us versus them" but rather "all of us together."
