Earth Claire Festival

| Lauren Herrmann

Join us this April 23rd for The Student Office of Sustainability's second annual Earth Claire Festival!

Time: 11:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Location: The Sprite Statue Courtyard, in front of Centennial Hall

This festival is a student-led community event that celebrates both Earth Day and Arbor Day. Over twenty campus community and wider community businesses and organizations will be gathering to promote sustainability on our campus and within our lifestyles. Stop by for a chance to enter drawings for prizes that encourage sustainable action! Prizes include reusable hydroflask water bottles, patagonia apparel, bamboo toothbrushes, a french press coffee maker, reusable beeswax wraps, reusable cutlery, and shampoo bars.

There will be free vegetarian pizza, vegan snacks, snow-cones, and an ongoing waste-sorting demonstration by our campus waste research team. At 1pm the Tree Campus USA committee is hosting a campus conifer walk, in which folks will be able to take a tour and learn about the conifers on our campus.

This event is designed to foster the sustainability culture on our campus and help us recognize the collective of individuals committed to sustainable action within our community.
