Shelby Beavers, Ellen Eisch, and Christina Zaine were the three top finalists at the 17th Annual Blugold Sales Challenge which was held September 24 on the UW-Eau Claire campus. The 2018 competition was supported by a gift from Northwestern Mutual.
Beavers is a marketing major from Rochester, MN; Eisch, is a professionals sales marketing major from Menasha, WI; and Zaine is a marketing major from West St. Paul, MN.
The Blugold Sales Challenge is designed to expose UW-Eau Claire students to a sales competition and give them professional feedback on their selling skills. Rank in the competition determines student participation in the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up and other sales competitions held around the country during the fall 2018 semester.
Beavers and team members Kevin Miller and Rachel Wiener will represent the Blugolds at the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up, Oct. 18-20. Attending as alternates are Sydney Kratochwill and Dylan Phinney. Major sponsors for the competition are Hormel Foods and SUPERVALU.
Eisch, Zaine, Elijah Mutter-Schulz and John Rechner will travel to Orlando to compete at the Florida State University International Collegiate Sales Competition (ISCS), Nov. 7-10. Eisch and Zaine will represent UW-Eau Claire in the role play competition. Mutter-Schulz and Rechner will compete in the speed selling event.
