Accounting and Finance Department awards scholarships for 2020-21 academic year

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Department of Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee is pleased to award $38,850 in scholarships for the 2020-21 academic year. Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients:

  • 3M Junior Accounting Scholarship: Sam Panos, sophomore accounting and finance major from Burnsville, MN, $200.
  • Accounting Faculty Scholarship: Brianna Miller, sophomore accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI, $550.
  • Albert J. Colianni Jr. Accounting Leadership Award: Michelle Kielpikowski, junior accounting and finance major from Kewaunee, WI, $2,500.
  • Aric J. Steffen Accounting & Finance Scholarship: Natalie Hagel, freshman accounting major from Stillwater, MN, $2,000.
  • Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP Scholarship: Andrew Haselwander, junior accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI; Brianna Miller, sophomore accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI; Jasmine Sluis, junior accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI, $1,000 each. 
  • Blake and Lori Grams Accounting Scholarship: Kendall Isaacson, junior accounting major from Somerset, WI; Ting Lin, senior accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI $1,000 each. 
  • Charles L. Wnukowski Scholarship: Julia Hoffmann, a junior accounting and finance major from Starbuck, MN, $500.
  • CliftonLarsonAllen Scholarship: Rachel Lucas, junior accounting major from Cottage Grove, MN, $900.
  • Deloitte & Touche Accounting Scholarship: Noah Schmidt, sophomore accounting and finance major from Green Bay, WI, $300.
  • Donna & J. Roger Selin Scholarship: Jessica Wolenec, accounting and information systems major from Madison, WI, $400.
  • Edsel Grams Scholarship: Ting Lin, junior accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI, $500.

  • EY Accounting Scholarship: Noah Schmidt, sophomore accounting and finance major from Green Bay, WI, $500.

  • Heinrich-Dahlheimer Scholarship: Joseph Micheel, junior accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI; McKenzie Wentland, junior accounting and finance major from Wisconsin Rapids, WI, $2,000 each. 
  • Hoggatt Family Scholarship: Frankie White, junior business major from Stillwater, MN, $400.
  • Jann Ozzello Wilcox & John Wilcox Accounting Scholarship: Katelyn Schwichtenberg, senior accounting major from Waconia, MN, $1,900.

  • Jeffrey Lang Accounting Scholarship in honor of Dr. Roger Selin: Michelle Kielpikowski, junior accounting and finance major from Kewaunee, WI, $1,500. 
  • John C. Dennison Memorial Accounting Scholarship: Wyatt Anklam, sophomore accounting major from Wausau, WI, $4,500.
  • KPMG Peat Marwick-Minneapolis Office Accounting Scholarship: Brooke Mayer, a junior accounting and finance major from Fairchild, WI, $1,000.
  • Lucretia S. Mattson Scholarship: Kendall Isaacson, junior accounting major from Somerset, WI, $600.
  • Michael and Kathy Wilson Scholarship: Kassidy Weiler, accounting and information systems major from Wisconsin Rapids, WI, $500.
  • Norman Muenzer Scholarship: Connor Riley, freshman business economics major from Platteville, WI, $1,000.
  • Patricia E. Ozzello Scholarship: McKayla Garski, junior accounting major from Mosinee, WI, $1,000.
  • Ray Petkovsek Accounting Excellence Scholarship: Andrew Haselwander, junior accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI, $600.
  • River Prairie Wealth Partners, an Ameriprise Private Wealth Practice - Personal Finance Scholarship: Jacob Fuhrman, senior accounting and business major from Menomonie, WI, $1,500.
  • SVA Accounting Scholarship: Adam Barberino, senior accounting major from Waunakee, WI; Kendall Isaacson, junior accounting major from Somerset, WI, $1,000 each.
  • Thomas and Barbara Johnson Accounting Scholarship: Joseph Micheel, junior accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI, $1,000.
  • Wipfli LLP Accounting Scholarship: Joseph Micheel, junior accounting and finance major from Eau Claire, WI, $1,500.

Additional scholarships are awarded by the College of Business and its other departments and academic programs, bringing the total amount of business scholarships awarded for the 2020-21 year to nearly $119,000. Scholarships are funded by gifts made through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation.

Donors and scholarship recipients will be recognized at the College of Business Scholarship Luncheon, tentatively planned for Friday, December 4, 2020 from 12:00–1:30 pm at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Davies Center Dakota Ballroom.
