The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Business management faculty and staff honored graduating students for their scholarship, leadership and community service at the annual Outstanding Management Major Recognition Luncheon, Friday, May 12.
Alana Sundby and Jacob Lawniczak were named the 2017 Outstanding Management Majors. Both students will graduate this May. Sundby, a human resource management major from Wayzata, MN, will spend a week in France after graduation then return to Wayzata where she will work in international sales for WTN Electronics until she finds a full time HR position. Lawniczak, an operations-materials management major from De Pere, WI, has accepted an operations management leadership training position with Menasha Packaging.
In addition, four students were presented with Distinguished Management Major Awards. Congratulations to the following students:
- Raj Borade, an operations and supply chain management student from New Mubai, India. Borade has accepted a position as a supply chain analyst with Kerry Ingredients & Flavors in Beloit, WI
- Jennique Demers, a human resource management major from Rice Lake, WI. Demers will be moving to Madison to work in the HR department for UW–Extension.
- Kristin Lauer, a human resource management major from Port Washington, WI. Lauer has accepted a position as an HR coordinator at Platinum Health Care in Mequon, WI.
- Amy Orthaus, a human resource management major from Lake City, MN. Orthaus has accepted a position as an administrative assistant with Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Lawniczak was also recognized by Dr. Kristy Lauver, chair of the Department of Management & Marketing, for graduating with department honors. He is the first student to completing all the requirements of department’s honor program.
