The Artists Series at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will present the Pacifica Quartet at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in Schofield Auditorium on the university's lower campus. Immediately following the performance, a reception with refreshments will be held in the Dakota Ballroom of Davies Center.
Recognized for its virtuosity and exuberant performance style, the Pacifica Quartet has gained international stature as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today. The quartet tours extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia, performing regularly in the world’s major concert halls. The ensemble has received numerous honors, including the 2009 Grammy for Best Chamber Music Performance.
Tickets are available online, at the Service Center in Davies Center's east lobby, by calling 715-836-3727 — or at the door on the day of the event.
The Artists Series, now in its 52nd season, is funded through UW-Eau Claire student segregated fees. Speakers are selected and administered by the Activities, Involvement and Leadership office and by an administrative committee composed of students, faculty, staff and community members.
