Objective

This practice directive and associated procedure provide a risk evaluation framework to ensure the safety of faculty, staff and students who work, volunteer or perform for credit activities alone in potentially hazardous environments within, but not limited to campus teaching and research laboratories, studios, workshops and other facilities or environments.  

Statement

UW-Eau Claire is committed to providing a safe and healthy working and learning environment for individuals required to work alone. This practice directive and the associated procedure help ensure the safety and well-being of individuals required and permitted to work alone is monitored through regular communication methods.
