Objective

This practice directive describes educational assistance for UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff, including fee/tuition reimbursement for coursework and training undertaken by UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff.

Statement

UW-Eau Claire believes our faculty and staff are the heart of our university, and we value employee professional and personal development. We will provide opportunities for employees to learn, enhance job performance and focus on wellbeing through enrichment.

The Employee Tuition Reimbursement Program reimburses eligible employees for undergraduate courses completed at UW-Eau Claire. Program limitations and procedures are included in UWEC 210.A, Employee Tuition Reimbursement Program.

Additionally, employees may be reimbursed for authorized education and training outside UW-Eau Claire within the constraints listed in SYS 210, Educational Assistance for Faculty & Staff and within budgetary constraints. Employees should discuss any non-UW-Eau Claire opportunities with their supervisor.
