Student Forms: Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Verification Form

Students who wish to become Full-Time Equivalent with an internship/course must complete this form. The internship/course must satisfy the conditions.

Definition of Full-Time Equivalent Course/Internship


Undergraduate StudentsStudents may enroll in a course/internship that is the equivalent of 36 hours per week for 15 weeks (36 hours per week for 11 weeks in the Summer term) to be considered a full-time equivalent for enrollment purposes. Only hours worked within the dates of the specified term can be counted.

Graduate StudentsStudents may enroll in a course/internship that is the equivalent of 27 hours per week for 15 weeks (24 hours per week for 11 weeks in the Summer term) to be considered a full-time equivalent for enrollment purposes. Only hours worked within the dates of the specified term can be counted.
Courses/internships that do not meet this requirement cannot be considered full-time equivalent courses.
Timeline
Submit form by the first day of the term. If the form is submitted after the deadline, the University will still consider for approval, however approved Full-Time Equivalency may not be considered for a Financial Aid Pell Grant.
