Biographical/Historical Note

Women in Higher Education (WHE) was established in 1971 as the Association of Faculty of Women, University of Wisconsin -- Eau Claire. The group soon adopted the current name and admitted staff and student members. WHE has 30-40 members, all women, who call attention to and address gender inequities in higher education. The group raises money for scholarships and hosts programs, including lectures, “brown-bags” with the chancellor, and social gatherings.

Content Description

The records contain meeting minutes, membership records, financial records, newsletters, and some correspondence, fliers, and steering committee reports.
