Biographical/Historical Note
The Department of Speech offered instruction and sponsored extracurricular activities in forensics, debate, and theater. In 1983, it became part of the Communication and Theater Arts department. When the department disbanded in 1995, speech faculty joined the Journalism Department to form the Department of Communication and Journalism.
Content Description
The bulk of the materials focus on the late 1960s and early 1970s and range from the first draft sketch of the Fine Arts building to budget details and brochures.

Building Operations Committee references the general upkeep of the Fine Arts building. Fine Arts Building Design Handbook has plans specific to each room of the building.
