Biographical / Historical Note

The Continuing Education unit was developed in the mid-1970s as an educational opportunity for the community to attend courses of personal interest without intending to pursue a degree program. Admission criteria are more flexible than for degree students. Designed to meet the needs of the professional and the community, Continuing Education designs, promotes and coordinates independent credit and non-credit programs each year. A wide array of courses have been offered during late afternoon and evening hours to provide more flexibility of scheduling for the community.

 These records contain the program brochures and files for Continuing Education and the Wisconsin Regional Teen Institute (WRTI) quarterly reports.

Acquisition Information: Transferred to the University Archives by Continuing Education in 2010 and 2012. Additional 5.4 linear feet added in 2013.
