Historical Note

The University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire was founded in 1917 as the Eau Claire State Normal School. Information Systems (IS) is the study of business systems, seeking to understand people, technology and the interaction between them so as to improve the performance of individuals and organizations. It is the theory and practice of designing, developing, deploying and managing computer-enhanced information systems (taken from UWEC webpage). These documents show the daily activities, meetings, and projects within the Department of Information Systems from 1970-1979.

Transcripts of letters, faxes, tutorials, reports, and meetings that make up the history of the UWEC Department of Informational Systems from the bulk years 1970-1979.
