Athena API Keys: Adding an API Key

  1. Log in to Athena
  2. Select API Keys from the navigation menu.

    NOTE: If you do not see this option in the menu, you do not have permissions to this area. Contact the Help Desk if you think you should have access but do not.

  3. Click Add API Key.
  4. Enter a Name for the API key.
    NOTE: The name should be descriptive of the intended use of the API key (i.e. the name of the app where it will be used or the person who will be using it).

  5. Click Generate to generate a new API key (a new, unique, randomized key should appear in the Key field).
  6. Click Create API Key.
  7. Inform yourself about security and your new API key.
