Learning and Technology Services: IT Solutions Coordinator
A full-time, professional academic staff position is available in Learning and Technology Services (LTS) beginning December 12, 2022. The working title for this assignment is IT Solutions Coordinator with an official title of IT Solutions Manager. This is a renewable one-year assignment, contingent on performance. The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent written and oral communication skills along with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure is also required. MUST be work-authorized in the United States.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or equivalent area is preferred along with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness. Knowledge in a wide variety of IT related technologies, hardware, and services.
The IT Solutions Coordinator is primarily responsible for consulting with faculty, staff, and students on all IT related purchases for campus. Being able to clearly communicate regarding requests along with providing answers and solutions to those requests is a key responsibility of this position. Coordinating with Campus Purchasing on procurement processes and making sure those processes are followed is also key.
Along with providing consultation on IT purchases, this position works closely with the CIO and LTS management to assist with developing IT service roadmaps and hardware rotation plans. Being able to utilize budget and expense tracking software is a skillset needed to be successful in this position.
This position reports to the CIO and Director of Learning & Technology Services and works very closely with the LTS management team as well.
THE UNIT: The unit of Learning & Technology Services consists of 50 full-time staff members along with approximately 75 part-time college student employees. Learning & Technology Services is the primary IT unit for the campus and works very closely with Academics Affairs and the operational units of the university to provide IT services and support.
