Residence Hall Director

A full time, professional, academic staff live-in position.  Candidates may apply now for the permanent position search to be conducted in the spring. This position is expected to start July 2023. The person selected for this position will be responsible for overall operation of a residence hall, supervision of undergraduate resident assistants, and front desk staff.  Duties include programming, discipline, counseling, staff selection and training, advising hall government, committee responsibilities, supervision of front desk operations including food and beverage sales, and coordination of housekeeping and maintenance services.  Summer employment may be available. The official title for this position is Residence Life Coordinator II with a working title of Residence Hall Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree, previous experience in residence life.

May be considered an asset: Master’s Degree in student personnel or related field, supervision experience, hall leadership experience.

Salary range: $36,000 annual prorated for this fiscal year appointment, which includes a furnished apartment, meal plan, pet policy, and other liberal fringe benefits.  Position starting July 2023.

THE UNIT: The unit of Housing and Residence Life consists of 32 staff members serving a population of 4000 students in 13 residence halls.
