Marketing Specialist

A full-time, professional academic staff position is available in Continuing Education beginning Fall 2022.  The working title for this assignment is Marketing Specialist with an official title of Marketing Specialist.  This is a renewable assignment, contingent on performance.  The salary range is $34,600- $46,000 and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

As a member of the Continuing Education team at UW-Eau Claire, the Marketing Specialist will work both independently and collaboratively to manage large- and small-scale marketing projects supporting the Continuing Education unit and programs.  As Marketing Specialist you'll establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and vendors. You'll work collaboratively with Continuing Education Program Mangers and Leadership, IS staff, and other campus colleagues to create marketing plans, manage creative projects, create processes, and coordinate resources to ensure Continuing Education promotions are delivered on time and produce desired results within budget and project scope.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 3 years professional experience
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience planning marketing plans that incorporate a variety of tactics
  • Demonstrated ability to write copy for multi-channel delivery (web, print, email, social)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from planning through execution and reporting
  • Exercise organization and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a collaborative setting, as well as work independently
  • Use Microsoft Office 356 programs proficiently
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in a complex organization
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Education or background in continuing education, marketing, content creation, or data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Demonstrated work in development and execution of lead generating activities, including digital marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience compiling data from various tracking sources to make strategic recommendations.
  • Knowledge of non-traditional students and/or experience in Continuing Education’s program areas of focus.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a CRM, email marketing platforms, project management software, automation software and/or Universal Analytics (UA) or GA4.  
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.

DUTIES:

  • Contributes to the development of marketing strategy and oversees implementation of marketing plans, projects, and campaigns for the Continuing Education unit and programs. 
  • Develops, implements, and distributes marketing materials via a multi-channel approach utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques.
  • Creates content for website, marketing materials, email, and social media.
  • Oversees creative development and project management processes for marketing activities.
  • Collaborates with internal team to coordinate, develop, and provide feedback on program marketing assets and tactics for social and digital media campaigns.
  • Collects, analyzes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to ongoing or future marketing activities.
  • Identifies opportunities for and develops outreach and lead generation campaigns
  • Collaborate with unit leadership to understand and develop goals for marketing strategy
