Facilities Technician III
A full-time university staff position is available in Facilities as a Facilities Technician III. This is an expected-to-continue assignment which requires a six-month probationary period. The expected hourly hiring salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have knowledge of preventative maintenance and repairs to buildings and assist with more complex repairs. Principles, methods and practices using power tools and other construction related equipment. Safety techniques and materials used in electrical and mechanical trades. Knowledge of SDS materials.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of all methods, procedures, practices and tools used in the construction industry. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience working with door hardware and key control, performing various type of flooring repairs and replacement, window and screen repair, as well as roofing and masonry repairs. Possess excellent customer service skills. Experience working with students. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy to drive a state vehicle.

- Maintenance and repair of existing building components Fabricate items and parts for specials needs throughout campus Ordering associated supplies.
- Maintain and repair roofs and masonry items
THE UNIT: The unit of Facilities consists of approximately 140 staff members.
