Administrative Manager (Division of Finance and Administration) UWEC - Internal Applicants invited to apply

A full-time, professional academic staff position is available in Finance and Administration beginning March 2022. The official title for this assignment is Administrative Manager.  The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.


At this time applications are being considered for current UW Eau Claire employees. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, problem solving, prioritizing, and multitasking skills\
  • Working knowledge of UW-Eau Claire and UW System policies related to the duties assigned
  • Must be a current UW-Eau Claire employee

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Proven experience in Project Management
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with grant writing, or a willingness to get trained on grant writing
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness

DUTIES:

  • Directly supervises an administrative assistant responsible for coordinating calendars, events, meetings, travel, interviews, etc. in support of the F&A division leadership
  • As empowered by the appropriate vice chancellors, provide leadership and direction to staff in the F&A division, and other divisions on projects as a leader of cross functional teams
  • On behalf of the F&A VC, coordinate the university wide policy and procedure implementation, revision, and communication process
  • On behalf of the F&A VC, coordinate the university wide Compliance monitoring and tracking initiatives
  • On behalf of the F&A VC, coordinate the university wide Audit management with UW System, which will include attending audit meetings, following up with deliverables, etc.
  • On behalf of the F&A VC, coordinate the university wide SharePoint contract/MOU management storage and review process
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of F&A Division process metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop and lead process re-engineering implementation (may also be tasked to assist other divisions as needed)
  • On behalf of the F&A VC, follow up with managers campus wide with deliverables due to the VC
  • Research data and develop position papers and presentations on issues to assist the F&A VC as assigned
  • Lead initiatives within the division, or across the campus as assigned by the F&A VC
  • Coordinate the F&A Division communication to campus through newsletters, websites, social media, road shows, etc.
  • Assist with the development and sustainment of a staff professional development program
  • Represent the VC of F&A at meetings as needed
  • Other assistance as needed by the VC of F&A

THE UNIT: The unit of Finance and Administration includes the office of the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration, and consists of the Vice Chancellor, an Administrative Manager (current posting), a Divisional Assistant, and student employees.
