Management and Marketing: Lecturer in Marketing

An instructional academic staff position is available in the Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business. The department seeks a dynamic candidate with expertise in Marketing who is committed to teaching excellence. This appointment carries an initial one-year appointment and is expected to continue beginning with the 2022/2023 academic year, beginning August 22, 2022.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s in Marketing, MBA, or related field from a regionally accredited higher education institution is required. Five years of experience in Marketing is needed. Salary will be commensurate with teaching experience. Desired area of specialty is in general marketing (with interests in teaching principles of marketing, promotions, social media, marketing analytics, sales negotiations, and other marketing related courses.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of successful university teaching, as well as demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness are all considered an asset.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for an individual who has a desire to teach in a growing marketing program. Position would be working with our marketing program and teaching courses such as principles of marketing, along with additional marketing areas of interest such as promotions, social media, marketing analytics, sales negotiations, and other marketing related courses.

Applicants will be expected to teach courses as assigned in the Department of Management and Marketing, participate in professional development, interact with students and be involved with student organizations, provide academic advising to students as assigned, engage in service to the university and community, and participate in department, college, and university committee work. Teaching responsibilities may involve classroom, online, and/or hybrid delivery in both the undergraduate and at the MBA level.

DEPARTMENT: The Department of Management and Marketing is a vibrant and cohesive group of teachers and scholars, dedicated to excellence in teaching and remaining current in their fields through scholarly activity. The department offers five majors: Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, and International Business. Emphases within the Marketing major include General Marketing, Marketing Analytics and Sales. The department serves over 1200 undergraduate majors, and helps support the UW System Consortium online MBA program. The department is housed in UW – Eau Claire’s AACSB accredited College of Business.
