Integrated Marketing and Communications: Videographer
A full-time, professional academic staff position is available Integrated Marketing and Communications beginning on or before Oct. 15, 2021. The working title for this assignment is videographer with an official title in the multimedia and design title series. This is a renewable assignment. The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. Also required are excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure; experience with video production platforms and YouTube.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated experience in captioning and optimization of video for search engines; familiarity with other multimedia, such as podcasts and slideshows; commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.
Produce multimedia assets and user-centric copy to support communication and marketing efforts through the university website, social media, email and digital outreach. (90%)
- Work with the Integrated Marketing and Communications staff to engage diverse audiences and lifelong learners with multimedia assets.
- Develop ideas for relevant and compelling multimedia content based on institutional priorities and collaborate with stakeholders to find optimal ways to tell and share university stories.
- Create videos that reflect the outstanding experiences students, faculty, staff and community members have at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and deliver helpful information when and where each audience is looking for it.
- Employ best practices in using multimedia on social channels and in advertising campaigns and other outreach.
- Employ keywords, meta data and other search engine marketing best practices to drive traffic to, encourage engagement with, and measure effectiveness of multimedia assets.
- Assist staff in the categorization and management of assets.
THE UNIT: The unit of Integrated Marketing and Communications consists of 23 staff members responsible for storytelling and strategic marketing campaigns for recruitment and reputation management. More information can be found at uwec.ly/imc.
