Intercollegiate Athletics: Assistant Football Coach (20%)
A 20%, 10-month part fiscal year, limited staff position is available in Intercollegiate Athletics beginning on August 1, 2021, through May 31, 2022. The starting salary will be $1,000 per month (based on a full-time rate of $60,000 annually, prorated to 20%). Additionally, a summer appointment for June 1, 2021, to June 30, 2021, is also available at a rate of $1,000 per month. The working title for this assignment is Assistant Football Coach with an official title in the Assistant Coach title series. This is a Limited appointment as defined in the UWS 15.01 WI Administrative Code.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. Demonstrated success in all areas of duties listed below. Must have strong leadership and communication skills. A commitment to athletic excellence within an academic environment. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A master’s degree preferred.
- Assist the head coach in directing a highly successful program within the guidelines of the University, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), and NCAA Division III.
- Assist in the recruitment, instruction, mentoring, and retention of qualified student athletes consistent with the academic standards of the University.
- Assist with the care and inventory of equipment for the program.
- Assist with the promotion of the sport with students, alumni, and members of the community.
- Assist with promoting program revenue generation related to the program.
- Participate in department fundraising and public relations events.
- Assume other duties as agreed upon by the Head Coach and Athletics Director.
