University Services Program Associate - Continuing Education

POSITION: The office of Continuing Education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is seeking a University Services Program Associate position for 40 hours per week to start as soon as possible. The starting salary is $16.04 per hour and you will be expected to complete a six-month probationary period.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Operational knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) necessary
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to remain adaptable and flexible to different situations and changes and work under pressure
  • Ability to learn new systems, software, and processes quickly
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals, as well as other campus units
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively
  • Ability to create accurate program budgets
  • Be able to sit for long periods up to 4 hours at one time on a daily basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience with campus computer systems including various database experience, financial (WISER), and BPLogix preferred
  • Familiarity with UW-Eau Claire or other UW-System campus administrative procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) preferred

THE UNIT/DUTIES: The mission of Continuing Education at UW-Eau Claire is to fulfill the “Wisconsin Idea” by serving our communities with UW-Eau Claire-quality educational resources.  The primary goal of this position is to provide administrative and program support to program managers in the creation and delivery of programs. University Services Program Associates are responsible for program support of various programming areas within Blugold Central and Continuing Education, which may include Business, Community Classes for Adults, Education, Nursing, Health and Human Services, and Youth.  This position reports to the Assistant Director in Continuing Education.
