CETL and the Commission on Women offer a mentoring program for new faculty, instructional academic staff, adjunct instructors, and visiting instructors.
Every attempt will be made to ensure mentors and mentees are from different departments to avoid any conflicts of interest in departmental faculty and IAS evaluations.
Mentor/mentee meetings will take place once or twice a month beginning at the end of September. The following are possible discussion topics.
- Teaching strategies
- Research opportunities
- Campus resources
- How to get involved on campus (committees, organizations, book groups, etc.)
- Community attractions and groups (recreation, dining, outdoor activities, organizations, civic involvement, etc.)
