When you become an overnight camper, campus becomes your home away from home. You’ll find a favorite place to relax or snack to grab, and friendship where you least expect it.

This is what camp life is all about. We look forward to taking care of your camper!


During the summer, UW-Eau Claire's housing team turns their attention and care to your camper. Through big-hearted professionalism, they create a compassionate and inclusive home for your camper.

New in 2019 is a fully-renovated Karlgaard Towers, featuring air-conditioning, new guest rooms, community and gender-neutral bathrooms, lounges, and a spacious lobby.

What's included
    • air-conditioning (Karlgaard Towers only)
    • twin bed, desk, chair and wardrobe (double occupancy rooms)
    • bed linens, blanket and pillow
    • community bathrooms
    • gender-neutral bathroom and shower on each floor (Karlgaard Towers only)
    • wireless internet access
    • 24-hour secured front doors
    • 24-hour front desk (Karlgaard Towers only)
What's NOT included
    • towels and washcloth
    • personal toiletry items, such as soap, shampoo, and toothpaste

Are the residence halls ADA accessible?

Yes, all halls have accommodations for ADA accessibility.

Do you have gender-neutral bathrooms?

Yes, gender-neutral bathrooms and showers are available on each floor in Karlgaard Towers.

How are the residence halls secured?

The front doors of each residence hall are locked 24-hours. Each guest room in Karlgaard Towers is accessed with a secure key card that will be issued to your camper. Guest rooms in all other residence halls are accessed with a pin code. Summer Conference Assistant (CA) staff are on call 24-hours.

Is there Internet in the residence halls?

There is wireless Internet access throughout the Residence Halls as well as wired (Ethernet) access per room.

Home to most campers, Karlgaard Towers was completely renovated in 2018 and includes air conditioning.

Staying fueled throughout the day is a very important aspect about being a successful camper. That's why Blugold Dining strives to give your camper a variety of healthy, nutritious, and delicious food options to eat.

Located just steps from the residence halls on upper campus, Riverview Café offers cafeteria-style, all-you-can eat meals. Featuring rotating entrees, soup and salad bars, dessert, and beverages, your camper will love the selection and quality.

Blugold Dining is here to assist with all you camper's dietary needs.

Be sure to indicate on your camp application any dietary needs. You will also want to follow-up with the camp director to ensure we are ready to serve your camper.
