Blugold Beginnings Precollege Camps

Entering grades 6-12

Blugold Beginnings offers multiple engaging precollege camps each summer to provide students the opportunity to spend a week learning virtually about a topic of interest to them. These hands-on, project-based learning camps help participants to explore careers and build valuable academic skills.

Registration for virtual pre-college camps will being soon and continues until all spots are filled. Each camp has a capacity of 50 students. The Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls School, and Eleva-Strum School Districts will provide full scholarships for students in their districts to participate. We also have some full scholarships for students not in those districts who qualify for free and reduced lunch. Those scholarships will be offered on a first registered basis. All other participants can self-pay the $60 fee.

All camps will be offered virtually and will require that students have access to a computer and WiFi technology. Project materials will be provided and will be delivered one week prior to the camp.

The Blugold Beginnings program works to educate and inspire students, especially underrepresented, low-income or first-generation students, to believe that post-secondary education is important, attainable, and available at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and other institutions.

Blugold Beginnings offers a variety of programs and services to promote a college-going culture and to help students obtain a higher education.

Blugold Beginnings offers engaging camps each summer to provide students the opportunity to spend a week learning about a topic of interest to them on the UW-Eau Claire Campus. These hands-on, project-based learning camps help participants to explore careers and build valuable academic skills.
