Information Systems Certificate Course Requirements

IS Certificate

A 12-credit certificate awarded to students who complete additional coursework in information systems and business with a grade of C or higher. The certificate is available to all students except IS majors and minors. Completion of the certificate is noted on the student's official transcript.

Required Courses (6 credits)
  • IS 240     Information Systems in Business
  • IS 310     Systems Analysis and Design
Elective Courses
  • Elective Group 1:  Pick one or two electives (3-6 credits) from this group.  Picking two electives from this group is recommended for non-business majors:  IS 290, 304, 345, 365 or 455
  • Elective Group 2:  Pick zero or one elective (0-3 credits) from this group.  Some business majors may find this option helpful:  Acct 460; Mgmt 443; Mktg 338
