Ruth Cronje | Affiliated Faculty MemberWe try to break community-campus barriers by getting students involved in authentic community projects so they can see themselves in the role of a civic change agent.
Two UWEC students, along with their professor, traveled to India to conduct research on water supply. They utilized research documents and field studies to evaluate how India copes with population growth and urban development. The group spent three weeks there to conduct research, including time in Bangalore and Dehli.Impact in India
Faculty and students, at UWEC, along with community partners, conduct research related to silica sand mining and the possible environmental and health effects it has on the community. The ongoing research is beneficial to the community as well a great learning opportunity for students.A focus on frac sand
