Community Partnerships

Experience innovation and cooperation

The Watershed Institute is proud to have a strong, close group of community partnerships. After learning the fundamentals in class, these partnerships allow our students to work on contemporary issues related to the environment and human health affecting people every day. Our community connections regularly lead to internships, job offers, and graduate school application building. Experience gained make our graduates highly sought after across many environmental and health occupations after graduation.

Community collaboration

In the Watershed Institute, faculty and students actively work together with our partners in the community: non-profits, businesses, foundations, and community groups.

So whether you’re a current or future student at UW-Eau Claire, a current partner, or someone looking to connect with us, we hope you’ll contact us.

Here are some examples of the many and varied recent and ongoing partnerships that have yielded valuable results both to the community and to our students in learning experiences: these have happened because of direct faculty involvement in the community, through student internships, in class projects with students working to serve a client, to satisfy service learning requirements, and as part of faculty/student collaborative research. Check out the important work that these organizations do in our community.
