Our interdisciplinary minor in family studies combines courses from sociology, history, psychology, women’s studies, and communication and journalism. You will gain a deeper understanding of the issues and problems families face from sociological, developmental, psychological, historical, religious, economic, and anthropologic perspectives. You will also learn about the dynamic relationships within families and the interaction between families and our society.
This interdisciplinary minor has only three required courses. You also take one course from a list within each of the following areas:
