Jason Luhmann | Anderson Windows engineerAs a manufacturing engineer, my position blends my materials and testing knowledge with my previous manufacturing experience. Knowing what changes we need to make in materials or processing to achieve the desired result has been key in this role. Luckily, for me that's what material science is all about and something we covered repeatedly in courses.
For materials science major Sam Schultz, balancing his desires to both advance his education and serve his country has brought him to the ROTC program at UW-Eau Claire, where his leadership skills and physics knowledge are carving a solid future for him in engineering.Dedicated to serve
Erik Engness, '16After talking with Dr. McEllistrem I realized that the Materials Science department would be a good fit for me. The interdisciplinary nature of Materials Science really spoke to me, especially the training involved on the numerous (and expensive) instruments found in the Materials Science and Engineering Center.
