Educating tomorrow's historians

Have a calling to share your passion for history with new generations of students? If so, you will want to pursue a degree in secondary education, history teaching major. Our education program at UW-Eau Claire is competitive and rigorous, producing top-notch history teachers for our schools in Wisconsin and nationwide. If you are interested in a history teaching major, make sure to talk to your advisor early on to discuss requirements for entrance into the education program.

History Teaching Major

36 credits

This major is restricted to students who have been admitted to the College of Education and Human Sciences; Education Studies. This major will lead to application for licensure to teach history in early adolescence through adolescence classrooms. We encourage you to talk to your advisor early on about how to stay on track for application into the education program and to graduate on time.
