We can probably all recall a teacher who has influenced or inspired us to set our sights higher to achieve more in life —teachers are difference-makers in the lives of young people. Blugolds who major in chemistry education aspire to make that kind of difference. With one of the most highly regarded teacher education programs in the region, UW-Eau Claire produces the caliber of new teachers that school districts actively seek, and our placement rates are as close to 100% as you can get.
The chemistry, teaching degree is offered in partnership with the College of Education and Human Sciences and leads to licensure to teach chemistry in Early Adolescence through Adolescence classrooms, grades 6-12.
See degree requirements for the 54-credit teaching major and the 24-credit teaching minor.
