75-Credit Comprehensive Major, B.F.A

The best of both worlds

For students deciding between the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A), it really comes down to a matter of focus. The B.F.A is intended for students pursuing graduate studies or planning careers in a specific emphasis. Of the variations offered at UW-Eau Claire, it is the most immersive studio experience for graduating with a greater level of artistic development and focus.

In the simplest of terms, the B.F.A. requires more coursework and studio time in your area of concentration while a B.A. or B.S.  requires more liberal arts coursework outside the Art + Design Department.

My B.F.A. program emphasis was graphic design, but I was able to take a number of drawing courses, including digital painting, and was one of two students who created the Centennial bus wrap sponsored by Erberts & Gerberts.
