Geography

Find your direction

First we had compasses to get us around. Then we had good old trusty maps. Now no matter where you are your smart phone or the friendly voice of the GPS give you turn by turn directions. Learn how GPS technology works through one of our interactive presentations. Oh yea and we have geospatial equipment (e.g. drones).

  • Professor: Joseph Hupy
  • Description: College Geography student(s) will demonstrate how to gather information with a GPS unit and other high end forms of geospatial equipment, such as total survey stations and laser distance finders. Information gathered will then be placed into a Geographic Information system for students to view what was collected.
