Veterans and Military Education Benefits

The Veterans and Military Education Benefits Office (Blugold Central, Old Library 1108), under the supervision of Phillip Huelsbeck, assists veterans in applying for their G.I. Bill benefits and advises them about other benefits available from the state and federal governments.  Feel free to contact our office at or 715-836-5400 with any questions you might have before, during, or after your enrollment at UW-Eau Claire.

Veteran Admissions

Federal Education Benefits:  All veterans must complete the Veteran Information Sheet before enrollment will be certified to the Veterans Administration. Click HERE to request certification of federal VA benefits

Wisconsin G.I. Bill (All veterans that enlisted into the military from the state of Wisconsin are encouraged to apply.  Even if you are covered by the Post 9/11 GI Bill at 100%, you may still be able to receive a supplemental payment each semester.  Click HERE for additional information)

National Guard Tuition Reimbursement Grant:  This program is available to students enlisted with the Wisconsin National Guard. Please note that the deadline to request reimbursement is 90 days from the end of the semester.  Benefit applies to 1st bachelors degree and requires a 2.0 term GPA.  Completion of initial basic training is not a prerequisite for the program.   Contact school certifying official for additional information.
