- J. Franklin Jameson Fellowship in American History: Supports significant scholarly research for one semester in the collections of the Library of Congress by scholars at an early stage in their careers in history. Awards are $5,000 for two or three months.
- Research Grants: Supports research activities on a variety of topics. Awards are up to $1,000.
Economic History Association - Arthur H. Cole Grants in Aid: Supports research in economic history, regardless of time period or geographic area. Awards typically are in amounts up to $5,000. Applicants must be members of the association.
Institute of Turkish Studies: Offers a variety of programs forscholars in the social sciences and humanities, including travel for research, publication, and development of instructional materials.
Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations: Supports projects on American foreign relations.
Wisconsin Historical Society Fellowships: Supports research and writing for publication of books by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press. Professional and nonprofessional writers, academics, and independent scholars are invited to apply. Awards are up to $2,000.
