Live on campus during the summer

If you plan to live on campus during the summer, we have you covered! Housing and Residence Life offers a wide variety of options to fit your needs, and your schedule. As you may read in the FAQ for summer, you will see Suites and Haymarket as the summer hall choices. 

Summer Housing Rates

Below you will find a summary of the summer schedule and the associated fees. Please contact the Housing Office at 715-836-3674. for more information. Applications are available starting April 1st and can be found on the My Housing Portal.

Daily Rates

Sutherland Hall Single-$17.50 per night
Murray Hall Single-$17.50 per night (short term, beginning of summer stay only)
*Haymarket Double-$22.00 per night (2-bedroom double)
*Haymarket Single-$28.00 per night (Studio, 1-bedroom single, 4-bedroom single, 2-bedroom single)

* Fall room assignment in Haymarket required to stay in Haymarket for the summer

Full payment is due by June 10, 2024 to avoid additional fees. The balance remaining after June 10 is subject to a $20 administrative service fee and a finance charge of 1% per month.  More info on Student Finances.

Assignments and confirmation of charges will be provided in early May for any student that applies by the deadline of April 26th.

Dining

Please note that no meal plans are offered during the summer. Check the Blugold Dining website for open times and locations.

Parking

During the summer months, parking can get a bit confusing. Construction projects, summer maintenance and campus events often dictate where you can park. Visit Parking and Transportation for information on parking lot locations, hours of enforcement, lot closings and more.

Haymarket Landing: Onsite parking in the underground ramp at Haymarket is $40 per month. More information about how to reserve parking available in your assignment confirmation email in May.

Other Transportation Options

Are you unsure about parking on campus? If so, check out the City of Eau Claire Transit site for information on bus routes, schedules, fees and more! If you're a student, you can enjoy our wonderful transit system at no cost!

If you want to go green, the Chippewa Valley offers an extensive trail system, with access from many points within the city. Visit the City Trail System page to find more information.

Eau Claire is a great place to spend your summer, but sometimes you just want to go home to visit family and friends.
