One of the most extensive collections of Robert Frost materials, including inscribed limited editions, has its home at UW-Eau Claire, thanks to Joan Christopherson Schmidt, wife of the late Frederick Schmidt, a longtime friend of Robert Frost. Learn more
John L. Buchholz Jazz Library
This collection of charts and recordings includes jazz legends such as Count Basie, Sammy Nestico, Bill Holman and Tommy Dorsey and was acquired through donors and the collector himself. In these rare and historic recordings, the university now has a resource for educators, students and aficionados alike. It is second only in size to a jazz collection owned by the University of North Texas. Learn more.
A.T. Newman Indian Artifacts
More than 200 Native American artifacts have been on loan to the university since 1963, providing a rich resource for classes in American Indian Studies and history. A group of students recently demonstrated how all disciplines have much to gain, and much to offer, by studying the items and creating a new exhibit in Davies Center. Learn more.

Blueprints and other documents dating back to 1914 were donated to the university after being discovered by an Eau Claire construction company. The documents provide information about regional landmarks, job expenses and payroll information — giving scholars, historians and other researchers a more intimate look into the company's history and its impact on our area.
