GoldenLivingHealth Care Administration

The Center for Health Administration and Aging Services Excellence (CHAASE) and the UW-Eau Claire health care administration program have begun development work on A Call to Lead, a fundraising campaign to support the next generation of leaders.

The campaign focuses on three critical areas:

Merit and need based scholarships to attract the best students to our program and help ensure they can graduate in a timely manner without too much debt.

Named professorships, research sponsorships, and development funds for faculty and staff to support teaching innovations, scholarly activity, national committee participation, and advancement of educational partnerships.

Scholarships and fellowships to send students to professional development programs that enhance leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

Special immersion experiences for students that increase their knowledge of the long term care profession through field trips to organizations and in-depth, facilitated dialogues with key leaders.

Student participation at state and national professional association conferences where they network with professionals in the field.

Undergraduate student-faculty collaborative research projects that allow students to develop critical thinking and oral and written communication skills.

An annual award program that recognizes the most entrepreneurial student practicum leadership project.

The creation of a physical space to house CHAASE and the HCAD program. The proposed space could include a small reception area, named conference area and offices for CHAASE and HCAD faculty and staff.

Named classrooms that integrate web-based, computer and multimedia applications and technologies into a learning environment that features flexible seating that can be reconfigured to allow students to explore concepts independently or work collaboratively.

Your Gift Supports:

Support the general needs of the health care administration program with a gift of any amount to the Health Care Administration Advancement Fund, which is used to meet the needs of the program that cannot be met by the state-assisted university operating budget. The fund enables the program to take advantage of opportunities to advance its cause.

Thank you for considering a gift to the health care administration program at UW-Eau Claire. For more information, contact Dr. Kristy Lauver, department chair, at or 715-836-4427.

"The HCAD program is nationally known for the quality of its graduates out in the field...many have been influential in the shaping of new programs, new products and government policy. "
